Description
Profound reflective meditation is an action that doesn’t involve any visible movement, yet it guides us deeply enough to discover our own path choices. Contemplation cherishes our emotions and aspirations as we journey through our souls seeking connection.
Yuroz presents his interpretation of this phenomenon through his limited edition study of the piece, “Contemplation.” Much like the stillness of thought, the sculpture maintains its shape while revealing waves of emotional interaction. It shows a couple who appreciate the joy in each other’s presence, yet find themselves in a pivotal moment of pondering what might happen next.
The artist illustrates the subjects’ reserved state with two wine bottles. Each person has brought their own bottle to share, but they remain unopened. The lack of glasses suggests that neither has decided to move forward and delve deeper into their relationship.
Their tilted heads symbolize curiosity and reflection. Yuroz uses this artistic choice to convey the significance of this contemplation, full of hopeful possibilities as the couple falls more in love with each other. They sit on the edge of surrendering to a passion filled with love.
Yuroz has never before released an edition in its raw and early form, but that was precisely the intention. It’s an unmoving object we can touch and hold. As we close our eyes and run our fingers over the bronze, we feel the imperfections, the subtle bumps, the bold shapes, almost as if we can experience the artist sculpting at that very moment. Our hands might sense what his hands sensed.
Reflect as you view this moment. Ask yourself, What will you contribute to the table of love, and are you willing to share it?
